Natural Family Planning (NFP) is a method of fertility awareness used to monitor reproductive health as well as achieve, postpone, or avoid pregnancy.

The Billings Ovulation Method (BOM) is one of several available methods of NFP. BOM involves no drugs, devices or side effects and has been found by many couples to be reliable, easy to learn and simple to use.

Many couples find that their marital bond is even stronger after learning how to use NFP. Using Natural Family Planning also helps couples live out their married life according to the teaching of the Catholic Church.

What to Expect

First, you will need to download and print the informational sheets and sample charts. With your sheets in hand, you will watch a series of three video segments featuring an engaging couple that teaches and practices the Billings Ovulation Method. There will be reflection questions for you to answer following each video segment. After viewing the video segments and answering the reflection questions, the system will create a Certificate of Completion for you to present to your priest or deacon, if this class is a part of your marriage preparation requirements.

If you choose to start charting and continue learning NFP after completing this course, we will connect you to a certified NFP instructor to work with you privately online, on the phone, or in person.
